An Area Court in Jos, on Monday, sentenced a man, Nasir Isah to two years imprisonment for stealing a motorcycle .
The judge, Irene Pati, who sentenced Isah after pleading guilty to the offence, however gave him an option of fine of N100,000
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp Ijuptil Daniel, told the court that the case was reported at the “C” Division Police Station, on Feb. 4, by the complainant, Mr Abdulazez Jibrin.
Ijuptil said that Isah trespassed into the complainant’s shop and stole his motorcycle.
The prosecutor, further told the court that during police investigation, Isah confessed to have committed the offence .
He said that the offence contravened the Plateau State Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria, 2017.
