Eyewitnesses have told newsmen that a disruption along the busy Maraban Jos axis occurred following a confrontation between a truck driver and officials of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA).
According to the witnesses, the incident began when KASTLEA officials intercepted the truck driver at Maraban Jos town and allegedly removed the vehicle’s battery after a dispute with him.
The action reportedly angered other truck drivers operating along the route, prompting them to stage a protest by blocking the road and halting vehicular movement.
Sources said the drivers insisted that traffic would remain suspended on the road until the disagreement between their colleague and the traffic officials is amicably resolved.
The situation caused a temporary standstill for motorists and commuters using the route, as efforts were reportedly being made to mediate and restore normal traffic flow.
