Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of Alhaji Tukur Tinglin, the Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board.
Tingilin died Thursday evening in an auto accident on Katsina-Malumfashi road.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, quoted Radda as saying that Tinglin’s leadership as managing director of the state water board was marked by pure service to the people even till his last breath.
He further revealed that, it was under his guidance that efforts to ensure clean water reached every household in Katsina were greatly intensified and sustained.
He said the governor took solace in the fact that Tinglin passed away as a faithful Muslim during the Holy month of Ramadan.
“Radda, on behalf of the government and the people of Katsina , extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the late nanaging director and the people of Malumfashi local government area.
“He prays to Allah to grant them the strength and fortitude to bear this monumental loss.”.
