The Kwankwasiyya Movement has announced that the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdul Salam has resigned from his position.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the movement, Habibu Sale Mohammed, it said the deputy governor took the decision in order to ensure peace and allow the government to continue its work without disruption.
The statement also emphasised that the resignation does not mean he has accepted the allegations made against him by the State House of Assembly. The deputy governor maintained that he has a clean record in public service.
It further explained that he decided to step down to avoid political conflicts that could affect the progress of the state, while focusing on strengthening the Kwankwasiyya Movement and preparations for the 2027 elections.
The movement also called on its supporters and the general public to remain law-abiding and continue supporting good leadership.
